     Stonehaven's Uptown Hound & Laundromutt was opened in December 2010 in an effort to provide pet owners and pet professionals with an establishment that carries quality recall free products, that enhance the overall well being of any dog or cat. The store owners began breeding, grooming, campaigning, and handling German Shepherds in 1974; and later opened Stonehaven Kennels, Pet Resort & Spa (1983-2018). The experience gained over a show career that spanned over 25 years, as well as day to day operations at a boarding facility provided invaluable experience in the importance of nutrition, exercise, and proper grooming care as related to the longevity and overall well being of any pet. Continuing education has always been a high priority throughout the decades and a requirement for all salon and retail employees. Our AKC and IPG Certified Salon Staff, as well as our knowledgeable retail staff are pleased to discuss the individual needs of your 4-legged family member. Stonehaven's Uptown Hound & Laundromutt features a Full Service Pet Salon for dogs and cats. Our Salon is an AKC Ceritifed S.A.F.E, which ensures a clean, safe, and professional salon environment for your pet. Our Professional Stylists are AKC & IPG (International Pet Groomers) certified and regularly attend continuing education taught by internationally recognized professional groomers, handlers, trainers, veterinarians, nutritionists, skin specialists, & more. Stonehaven's Uptown Hound also features: The Laundromutt. Our pet wash consists of a stainless steel waist high tub, with a ramp for easy access. The equipment allows easy access to all sides of the pet and accommodates all sizes, from Chihuahua to St. Bernard. Professional deep cleansing shampoos to all- natural flea & tick options are provided. A high velocity dryer is also included, it does not include a heating element by design, this helps prevent potential dry skin for the pet. Towels are not provided, but various chamois etc. are available for purchase. The Laundromutt hours correspond with the retail store hours, and accepts quarters or tokens. Tokens are available in the retail store, and can be purchased individually or in a baker's dozen.

Briana is wonderful at handling animals with a variety of personalities in the salon. 

Shawna 
Shawna's 18 years experience in pet grooming is certainly an asset to our salon team. She also has extensive experience with horses and other animals.

Sara brings over 12 years of experience working as a passionate professional pet bather. 

Our Retail Staff

Brenda
​Although Brenda has worked over 20 years in the pet care industry, she brings extensive retail experience as a former Dollar Tree traveling supervisor in the Pittsburgh area. We depend on her for our floor displays and new product buying advice.

Kate
Kate has been with us since 2014. She works the retail floor and is especially helpful with cat lovers as she is knowledge and passionate about our feline furry friends. Kate brings years of animal expertise and a friendly smile behind our retail counter. 

Patti
Patti brings years of joy being an avid pet lover. She has been with us since the spring of 2019. Patti loves to share her enthusiasm and knowledge of quality pet food and playtime products!
